Meanwhile to my left ….
This photo is also from East Balmain, a brief 10″ exposure taking in the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and the rising full(ish) moon.
As it wasn’t fully ‘night’ yet, I’ve set the camera aperture (f14) and ISO (200) to maximise the time I can leave the shutter open. This helps give the water that velvety, smooth look.
In truth 10 seconds was all I had, as the bulk of the next 30 minutes was spent watching chartered pleasure craft make its way from the calmness of Darling Harbour to the helter-skelter of Sydney Harbour proper on a Saturday night.
