The local surfers of Byron Bay’s beaches are a tough bunch. They are incredibly dedicated to brave the carparks during summer, let alone the surf on the iconic white sand.
The Pass is a very popular spot among surfers. Situated between Clarke’s Beach and Watego’s, it is sheltered from the predominant southerly rolling in, creating a gentle swell off the point.
The problem is once you’re on the wave, you’re battling the wave while picking a path through the minefield of surfers in wait for their turn.
This young lady is doing all of her pre-surf workout – stretching, waxing, and most importantly, putting money in the meter.
