August 11th – Keeping an eye on ‘The Cove’

Eye of the 'pie

A pleasant mid-winters lunch break. One thing about dining in the open, you’re bound to encounter some sort of avian interest – whether it’s magpies, seagulls or those dirty great garbage birds (Australian White Ibis).

Today we’re in Lane Cove’s open air plaza, and this brave magpie is looking for an easy feed.

Which brings me to another local social-blogger, “In The Cove“. Mrs ITC spends much of her time stomping the local footpaths, sharing her adventures on Instagram and Facebook.

The blog features many local identities, businesses and landmarks, however In The Cove is also a great way to help others in the community seek advice on removalists, school tuition, stray pets, local festivals and much, much more.

As for this curious magpie, someone’s 12-24 month old will chase it away soon enough.
