It’s the return of one of the regular Martin Place fundraisers – the Childrens Medical Research Institute’s Jeans for Genes Day.
Held annually on the first Friday in August, Jeans for Genes day encourages people to go about their normal day wearing their denim outfit – jeans or otherwise. As the website suggests, to create “a sea of denim in a united stance against childhood disease”.
Funds raised are vital to support the the Children’s Medical Research Institute in their journey to discover treatments and cures that could give every child the opportunity to live a long and healthy life.
There’s every chance one of their bright and cheery volunteers stopped you on the day, however if you would like to donate you can do so by visiting the CMRI’s donation page.
