June 14th – Admire me … from a distance

Ginger 2

There’s little doubt that domesticated cats take pride in their appearance. But the over-arching moral of the story here is: You may admire me …. from a distance.

This photo was taken at reasonable distance with the 100mm macro. It creates terrific, crisp images when used at a standard focal range, specifically the bokeh. This photo is taken at f4, generating quality Depth of Field (DoF).

We found this ginger felis catus along a neighbourhood fence, and while he or she was initially quite keen for some attention, it decided to retreat to the safety of its lawn.

And in doing so, the cat dashed the hopes of two youngsters who were hopeful of a pat.

I don’t expect the cat lost any sleep over it.
