Our last day in Melbourne, and what was intended to be another adventurous day turned into a bleak and bleary, well, Melbourne day.
It certainly wasn’t a great day for cameras. The rain started early, and showed no intention of going anywhere else. It was pleasing in a way, as it vindicated our decision to bring our collection of big, warm coats.
So the order of the day was indoors, which we achieved easily after riding the 64 tram to its eastern suburbs terminus, where our rendezvous chauffeured us to Southlands shopping centre.
We then undertook a 90 minute roller coaster ride into our subconscious, also known as Pixar’s Inside Out.
On returning to our St Kilda Rd base, simply to grab our bags and head to the airport, a brief glimpse of “See you soon” appeared in the sky.
