June 3rd – Vivid rebooted

Light Toddler

A midweek revisit to the Vivid Festival means less crowds, more opportunities to let the tripod stretch it’s legs, and more importantly space for the scooter.

Tonight I had more opportunity to photograph the landmarks, but I was more intrigued by the interactivity.

Don’t get the me wrong, lighting up the MCA, Customs House and the signature Sydney Opera House is nothing short of spectacular. However I, like many others, found that many of the animations transitioned too quickly.

I was pretty happy to catching shots of the crowd enjoying Vivid though, using the light from the displays.
