We set out today to navigate the local “road footpath”, and of course dispose of some overly stale bread.
About 1.5m above sea level it was all action, with the soccer fields at Riverglades in nearby Tarban Creek in full swing.
However on the water it was a different story. The retaining walls were lined with some very apathetic ducks, they knew they should be going for a paddle, but they didn’t seem at all keen.
The water was dead-still, so when these two anatidae came paddling along, pace perfectly matched, they created this remarkable ripple-pattern in the water.
