April 3rd – A really Good Friday

It's a good Friday

Bags are packed, kids loaded. The sun will be up in a few hours. Let’s go.

After 8 hours on the road, add a couple of the usual stops (and one unusual one to pick up a trailer), we arrived.

Paddocks that were brown, barren and thirsty just over 3 months ago are now lush and damp. There has been enough growth in recent weeks to spin dozens of hay bales.

The cows are fat and the skies are overcast, and there is more rain coming.

It’s a really, really Good Friday.

I particularly like the “What the hell are you starin’ at” expression on the heifer.
