Some days that walk can take, oh …. so long. From the train, from the car, from the bus.
One minute you were happily playing Candy Crush while aurally entertained by Faith No More, the next minute you’re reaching for your Opal while juggling your other possessions, as commuters behind you pull faces while they wait their turn to hold up the queue.
Today I had a few minutes to spare, so I opted again for the streets of Sydney and the Canon 50mm f1.8 Mk II (or my lightweight run-around lens).
I’ve had previous success using the “I’ll just stand still and let the world pass me by for a while” method, and I think it’s paid dividends again today. In this instance my viewing post was above the exit from Martin Place train station.
And there’s always love for black and white, and street photography seems to fit so nicely.
