A few spare minutes and a $10 tripod. Waiting for the bus I decided to set up and take a few photos, each a burst of 10-15 seconds of activity.
It’s not that hard to imagine this location in the early 1900’s, then known as Central Square. A busy retail shopping area surrounded by department stores and a huge Post Office, it was a hub for trams until the 1950’s.
Who knows, with so much planning for a rejuvenated Light Rail network, this intersection could once again become a busy social and commercial destination.
