We don’t travel “over east” too often, but today we timed our arrival with an absolutely ripping sunset.
Our destination was Dover Heights. As we passed Dudley Page Reserve I caught a glimpse of dozens of touch footballers silhouetted against the burning orange sunset.
I was instantly conscious of the fact I was camera-less (as per plan).
We pulled up at the destination and the first thing I saw was a hobbyist with a tripod set up on a flat surface pointing west. Oh the irony.
Today’s photo was taken from the balcony of the party, having located our work colleagues and friends … thankfully on the balcony. I couldn’t help but take a mid-conversation panorama.
I think the outcome somewhat vindicates my social manner!
