The game of Air Hockey has origins back to 1969, however it wasn’t completed until 1972 until a final product was created when Bob Lemieux.
The name Lemieux and iconic ice hockey moments are seemingly inseparable.
More importantly, the first World Championships were held in 1978, and have been running annually since.
Even more significantly, they have been dominated by the USA, with an American claiming the World Air Hockey World Championship every year until 1999, when Venezuelan José Mora and compatriot Pedro Otero claimed the World Title and Runner-Up respectively.
