It’s that time of year again.
In the unlikely case you haven’t heard, Apple announced their latest additions to their smartphone family. It’s the culmination of many months of leaks, rumours, and blind guesses.
But following the great reveal, there are some less important traditions to tend to, such as “the queue”.
It starts as a couple of well meaning people with spare time on their hands, but by release morning it becomes a writhing string of humanity, winding it’s way through two or three city blocks.
Enter Sam and Davor. These guys formed a pact last weekend – to be the first iPhone 6 owners on the planet.
One of the benefits of having such a glamorous Apple store in the CBD is, because of timezone, Sydney will be the first store on the planet to sell an iPhone 6 to a retail customer.
So Sam and Davor (and their support crew) will sit in the queue, sporting “sponsors” logos, waiting patiently while a busy city goes about life.
For the next 9 days.
