A tree swing lies in wait for some attention.
This park is an ‘off piste’ reserve near our house. It’s a great strip of public land, bordered by a (well fenced) stormwater drain, with no visible public access, unlike the walking path on the other side of the drain.
It’s nice to occasionally stroll through the banked grass land, especially in summer as the canopy keeps the reserve in shade for much of the day.
It is also host to this mushroom colony I found not long ago.
The tree swing looks inviting, but I’ve witnessed (and heard) large parts of the Jacaranda throw itself onto the ground in drier times. It might need a little stress test before it gets its next play.
