This odd looking flower was sitting on the top of a garden wall pointing skyward. It was the stamen of a larger flower, which reminded me of a passionfruit flower.
I took time out from Macro Monday’s chasing the various insect species around the house, and took this photo (with the macro lens) on our usual scooter route, taking in the gardens of our neighbourhood.
The Canon 100mm macro lens adds more to my arsenal than simply just getting up bugs noses. The optics within the 8″ casing are highly regarded in the photographic world, as the feedback suggests after posting this ad hoc portrait of baby Cara.
Though despite capturing the weird and wonderful world of flowers, I have no idea what anything is beyond a hibiscus, a a daisy, and perhaps the odd bromeliad. If anyone has any suggestions for flower identification, I’d love to hear from them!
In the meantime I’m off to trawl the App Store for anything that could possibly help.
