Sunday was a lay-day with the camera, with a kids birthday party and family catch up on the agenda.
I took this photo from the bridge to Bare Island on Saturday. I now understand why so many divers and snorkelers are fond of the area. Fact is there were plenty of photo’s from La Perouse that day, and I’m steadily popping into my Flickr Photostream if you want to check them out.
The water was crystal clear, and the wind – blowing pretty hard from the south-west, was turning the surface of the water in the texture you see above. I would have normally thought this sort of wind would make the water cloudy, stirring up the white sand on the bottom of the bay.
Alternatively the rock fisherman were also reaping the rewards, boasting a net full of fish (let’s hope they observe the bag limits sign on display a the island).
