March 2nd – It’s been raining, for so long

LC River Weir Overflow

The wet continues, so what better to do than head back to Lane Cove River weir and take a few photo’s. The weir at Lane Cove River Park goes under water in a heavy dew, so it was a certainty following a few days of constant rain.

Today’s efforts revert back to experimental. I’ve grown quite fond of long exposure photography, however doing this in daylight is a trick I’m yet to overcome.

It was possible today because it was heavily overcast, and these photo’s were taken quite late in the day (close to 6pm). The exposure time in this pic was 1 second, which was enough to get some neat patterns as the water flowed over the weir, though I was able to experiment for longer in one of the nearby babbling estuaries.
