March 1st – Primi


There are 2 types of starters, the ones that you devour, and the ones that you stop and admire for a brief moment, and then devour.

Above is the starter plate from our new local favourite – Mercato e Cucina. The store is divided into 2 sections – the fresh produce market including fruit and veg, a butcher, cheeses, bakery, wine cellar and more, and the restaurant.

On another note, I’m 2 months into my photography adventures and this is the first genuine “Foodie” post.

Needless to say there isn’t anything on the above plate that didn’t go down a treat.

Tonight’s osso bucco purchased from the Mercato butcher may not present as well in a photo, but you can bet it will taste spectacular.
