A little panorama from my phone of the Gladesville bridge. I’m hoping to come back here at various times in the next little while to take some photo’s.
The construction was a record breaking achievement when completed in 1964, which makes it 50 this year.
For more than 10 years it’s been an icon of our existence in Sydney. We ride buses over it, catch ferries under it, and fly home directly over the top of it.
But more importantly, this bridge reminds me of empty bus seats, seats that have been occupied by the time you’re in Drummoyne.
