January 6th – Pre-dawn fog on the farm

Pre-dawn by Fishman Dan

Another unscheduled wake-up became a terrific opportunity for a timely photograph.

Special thanks goes to my sister-in-law Lisa, whose generosity provided me with a tripod for Christmas.

Armed with tripod, it was a great way to meddle with camera settings and experiment with a few things. I couldn’t be happier with how this turned out (especially considering I should have been asleep!).

I was lucky enough to catch the fog roughly 30 minutes before sunrise, with a wild pink sky adding this purple-pink hue to the mist.

Please take the time to view this photo in my Flickr gallery and view the sibling of this photo, looking down towards the dam from about 50m to the left of this location.
